Given that the soils at the construction site are mainly clay loam with earthwork for a buried and high strip foundation, there would be too much not to mention the cost of the material and the work itself. In addition, time was running out. It was decided to use piles. Wells were drilled with a depth of 3 m. piles were made of pipes, of course with tamping and concrete pouring. Then the first question arose of making piping from metal channels or jellied reinforced concrete. They advised reinforced concrete with reinforced reinforcement in 4 rods. Then, casting a monolithic reinforced shield made of wood concrete was completed. Given that the walls were also made of it, the house turned out to be maximally insulated in the base state.

When designing, it was decided to install a pile foundation with grillage and pouring screed under the warm floor of the entire first floor. Particularly tormented with ramming. Having scored piles at 4 m, they cut concrete heads at the level of fluffing the exposed reinforcement. Then they selected a little soil and covered it with a sand and gravel mixture with a manual vibrating plate rammer (100 gk.). Due to the fact that the grillage of different heights from 40 to 90 cm was poured in parts, being guided by markers.

After that, a heat insulation was installed on the rough fill, a screed was made and, after the walls were erected and the roof was closed, a warm floor was mounted. This type of pouring came out significantly cheaper than the device of the shield foundation that we were advised. Although the technology is complicated in execution and not fully tested.

The soils on my site are water-saturated from fine clay with a height difference of 2 m on the construction site. And given that the decision was made to build a house of slot-brick, the load on the base should be more than 400 tons. so that the screw piles fell off immediately. For a monolithic strip foundation, the wall thickness at the base should have been about 2 m of monolithic concrete, which is also not very cheap. It was decided to abandon the basement and level the area using rammed piles and a concrete supporting wall. I have to say right away that it cost 5-3 times cheaper than a monolithic or strip foundation. 6 m stuffed piles with a cross section of 300x300 mm were used and hammered into the ground to the full depth.At the same time, the load on the pile was 12 tons, and the number of piles themselves was 47, which is almost right next to the weight of the house itself. A grillage of 400x400 mm with reinforcement in 3 rods quite qualitatively distributed the loads and no shrinkage, cracks, etc. after a year of operation, the house is not observed.
