The time has already passed when there were only two types of heating radiators - cast-iron, for water and steel - for steam heating. Today, our construction has reached such heights, in the literal and figurative sense, that for heating a high-rise building, the pressure in the heating system should be more than 30 atmospheres. To work under such conditions, new bimetal heating radiators have been developed.

Bimetal radiators

Already the name suggests the presence in the design of aggregates of two metals. Inside the structure, specially machined steel pipes pass, and the piping, or heat-releasing fins, are made of aluminum. Steel pipes hold high pressure, and having good thermal conductivity, aluminum makes it possible to increase heat transfer and significantly reduce the weight of the structure. And aluminum petals give the design a presentable look.

Judging by the reviews, bimetal heating radiators have occupied a decent cell in the field of modern organization of heating systems.

The advantages of bimetallic radiators include:

  • modern design;
  • ease of installation;
  • high strength;
  • excellent heat dissipation;
  • light weight;
  • working pressure over 50 atmospheres.

Bimetal radiators
A comment
Changed radiators in the country in two rooms. The old ones leaked, and the time had already come. Choose between aluminum and bimetal. Steel and cast iron are not even considered. The forums most often advise either Russian or Italian. Explaining that the thickness of the steel pipes inside the radiators is the largest. He stopped at the Russian "Teplopribor". Put 2 radiators in 8 sections. The plumber said if suddenly something, then sections can be added. But I don’t think so. Good radiators, perfectly warm and look at 5.

Heat device

The heat device heats well, the number of radiator sections was calculated by dealers. I believe that the best alternative to expensive imported models.

It looks and warms like Italian, but at the price of a domestic manufacturer.

Winter Dream WDR-500B - good batteries
A comment
Last summer, my wife insisted on replacing the batteries. As a result, I decided to stop on bimetal, since it is precisely such batteries that most friends have.

I called several companies to clarify the cost of radiators, in the end it turned out the Winter Dream WDR-500B, the most profitable option for me. The price for one section came out just 340 rubles. Outwardly, of course, they are no different from other radiators, everything is standard. As for work efficiency, I can note: they warm well, batteries do not leak. We had a good winter with them; we were not allowed to freeze new radiators.

They were installed by the guys from the management company of our house, and indeed in a high-rise building, hardly anyone can install them on their own. I had to pay separately for the installation, but this does not affect the quality of the batteries.
pros
warm well

price, installation is paid

We bought cheap Chinese Bitherm 80Bi-500 radiators, and we do not regret
A comment
Just a few months ago they changed the heating in the apartment. There used to be cast-iron batteries, but over time they lost their attractive appearance, so we decided to replace them with Bitherm 80Bi-500 brand biametallic radiators. This is a Chinese manufacturer.

They were connected diagonally by the master of heating systems in our city. themselves did not dare to connect. He fastened them with brackets (which were bought separately). The work is dusty, but it doesn’t take much time.

Each section has dimensions of 8X56 cm. The power directly depends on the number of sections, in the kitchen we have 8 sections, and in the room 12. The guarantee for radiators is 1 year, not enough in my opinion for such a product.

The cost is low, and in terms of efficiency they are quite satisfied, they quickly heat up and give heat well to the room. They completely suit me, I do not regret the acquisition of bimetal.
pros
stylish appearance, good heat dissipation, the ability to add sections
Minuses
installing radiators is a time-consuming and dusty process, the demon of a special tool will install it yourself
Term of use
half a year

Warm and reliable bimetal radiators
A comment
We live in a private house with an area of about 120 square meters, so the heating is autonomous. Previously, metal pipes were stretched across all rooms, which during the cold season also heated the rooms. But, all this water heating system has long been outdated and had an unpresentable appearance. Therefore, when they started a repair in the rooms, they decided to change the entire heating system. A lot of material on bimetal radiators was re-read on the Internet. In the end, they decided to install them in their home.

The installation process took about 10 - 12 hours! We did everything ourselves. No dirt! Easy and convenient! The batteries themselves look neat. They heat up quickly and give off heat. And most importantly, they do not need to be painted! Very pleased. I recommend to all!
pros
beautiful appearance, reliability, fast and high heat dissipation.
Minuses
it is inconvenient between sections and in the sections themselves to remove accumulated house dust.

more than three years

RIFAR Forza 500 radiator review - great for autonomous heating
A comment
We installed RIFAR Forza 500 in a suburban brick house with my parents, the heating in the house is autonomous, the batteries are not large, but the heat from five pieces is enough for the whole house. They heat up very quickly and begin to give off heat, but also quickly and cool down. Installed by ourselves, the whole process did not take much time, effort and skill, the help of professionals was not required.

Quality fully satisfied. Transportation from the store to the installation site was very quick and easy, the radiators are light and quite compact. On the walls they do not bulge much, they look neat and not catchy. The surface was painted with high quality chips and no greases. We plan to install the same in the country.
pros
Easy and quick to install, quickly heat up, reasonable price.
Minuses
Cool down very quickly

Time will tell - review of ALURAD bimetal radiators
A comment
Two years ago I installed ALURAD bimetal radiators, I live on the 2nd floor of a 24-storey building. There used to be aluminum radiators, unfortunately when I put them I decided to save a little, I bought the cheapest ones. In our house, the incoming pressure from the heating systems is quite large, for 4 years I called the plumbers about six times. When tired of constantly pouring in neighbors and mopping the floors, he dismantled all the aluminum and bought medium-quality bimetal radiators.

For two years there were no problems at all, I'm glad indescribably. A pretty good appearance and the weight is quite acceptable, hung on brackets from aluminum radiators until they fall off.

More recently, I learned that aluminum radiators are afraid of high pressure in this and there was my problem, we have a minimum pressure of 14 atmospheres. Judging by the passport, the bimetallic ones are designed up to 50 atmospheres, I will hope that they last for a long time. And they warm more evenly in all directions.
pros
Reliability, long service life, are not afraid of harmful impurities in the water, uniform heat transfer, a rather elegant design that does not disfigure the apartment.
Minuses
The price is poor 500 rubles per section ....
Term of use
more than three years
