Cork Wallpaper

Recently, I began to increasingly prefer natural materials for the repair of my apartment. Therefore, when I needed to decorate a small section of the wall, I chose a cork. Such wallpapers come out a little expensive, I decided to cheat a little and replace them with a usual cork substrate. I read an article earlier, where the advantages of such a choice were carefully described, and it caught fire to her.

The first thing I didn’t like about this material was its terribly unpleasant odor, though it disappears quickly enough, but, nevertheless, I all dried up until I got it. The material is very fragile, at the slightest touch the grains of the cork crumble, so you will have to use the varnish on top anyway. Glued the wall using Titanium glue.

We decided to use cork wallpaper with my husband. We bought wallpapers from Ayberkork. Of course, the price is not cheap, for 1 m2 of wallpaper you will have to give at least 500 rubles. But they are simply gorgeous, look really stylish. I especially liked that the wallpaper is presented in various textures, designs and drawings. I used to think that cork wallpapers are generally sold in only one form, but everything turned out to be much nicer.

They glued them with special glue, there is nothing complicated here, they managed without assistance, all by ourselves. They look beautiful.

She herself did not dare to set, hired a brigade. Workers immediately said that it is easiest to glue such material on PVA. True, you need to prepare the surface: sheathe the walls with drywall. So I spent it.

I was worried, but it turned out beautifully. Now I rest in the country, as if in a fairy tale. The decor has become interesting and useful. Neither roar nor cold passes.

The color scheme of the wallpaper is sparse, all in beige tones. Such wallpapers can create a surface with a perfect appearance. The material is rather budget, it will cost around 850 rubles per roll. But at the same time they look quite dignified in the finished version. It glues well, in joint, it is necessary to use special glue for cork wallpaper.

If you stick cork wallpapers and do not cover them with varnish, then they will not last long. The material is quite fragile and easily soiled, unfortunately. But all this can be fixed with ordinary parquet varnish, which will make the surface more durable and it will be possible to produce wet cleaning.
The quality of cork wallpaper is wonderful, but the color scheme is presented only in natural shades.

Without the use of varnish, rather fragile material, you can not do wet cleaning. Few colors, all in beige.
