Log siding

We thought for a long time about the exterior decoration of the house, but in the end we settled on a block house. I didn’t want to sheathe simple siding, since all of these structures very much resemble hangars. And siding under a tree all looks more natural, more beautiful. We chose metal siding for wood, because of the strength and reliability of the material.
Installation was done by ourselves, of course we suffered a little with it, but it was worth it. They put the panels in a joint, they did not use a connecting strip, but simply with the help of an overhead rail screwed on rivets closed the joint of logs. The siding itself is very tough and durable, it will be very difficult to break it.

Installation was made about 6 years ago, and so it still looks good. Not a single rust has appeared during all this time, either on the cuts or on the side from the ends of the siding.

I have long wanted to sheathe a country house with siding "under the log", in my opinion it looks very beautiful, stylish and modern. I looked at various options for a long time, as a result, the choice fell on vinyl siding blockhouse from Remico.

A year ago, I decided to improve the exterior of the house. Before that, it was trimmed with an ordinary clapboard, but I wanted to update the look, make the house more fresh and modern. My choice fell on vinyl siding under a log or as it is also called a blockhouse. I liked the color light beige, and I wanted to take the additional elements in brown.

Installation, in principle, was not difficult. I mounted all the siding and fasteners to it on ordinary screws at once, this greatly facilitated the installation process for me. The panels have special holes for self-tapping screws.

Siding panels themselves have the following dimensions: length 3660 mm, width 250 mm. Externally, the panels are very similar to a double log.
Siding under a log, as a finishing material, I can safely advise everyone, this is a great option, everything in its finished form looks beautiful, neat and stylish. The main thing here is to make the correct installation of materials.
