They brought him home, unpacked and realized that she was 100% right, the mattress was polyurethane foam. This is confirmed by labels that state that the mattress is made of 23 kg / m3 of polyurethane foam, polyester wool.

It is inconvenient to remove the cover, there is no dog in the lock, so every time you have to insert a pin. Although there are no complaints about the quality of the fabric of the cover, it is very pleasant to the touch.

The mattress itself consists of only 10 cm of polyurethane foam, there is nothing else there. In truth, the mattress is good, but why put false information on the site.

I refused to buy a polyurethane foam mattress after I read a lot of material on this topic. At first I was attracted by a rather low price, but then I wondered - why such a low price? And he found the answer to his question. Despite the fact that polyurethane foam is no longer the same as in Soviet times (it used to be called foam rubber), but its service life is quite limited. And the lower the price of such a mattress - the faster it will rinse and the savings will result in the loss of the mattress.

My sister has a polyurethane foam mattress - she bought seven years ago. They are quite expensive for simple polyurethane foam materials and have several layers of latex and 5 hardness zones.

We were scared by the chemical smell and for several days we “sniffed” the mattresses. Maybe two or three days there was a faint smell that soon disappeared. I called the company and they explained to me that this is the smell of glue that will disappear. Indeed, after a couple of days the smell disappeared.

Sleeping on them is very comfortable, the mattresses are very pleasant to the touch. For a couple of days it was unusual to sleep on a “flat” surface, as the old ones caved in the lumbar region and the lower back was below the level of the whole body. In new mattresses there is no such effect and the mattress follows the contour of the body.

In general, we are satisfied with the purchase - the price is quite affordable, and the comfort is at the highest level. Since there are models for children, I’m sure that rumors about the dangers of polyurethane foam are simply invented by manufacturers of “super-ecological” materials to increase earnings.
