We opted for KALE, as it is a fairly well-known Turkish company, and the cost of their products, compared to German ones, is much lower.

The castle is completely satisfied both in price and quality and is very convenient to use. The movement does not jam when opening the lungs, and the movement of the locking bolts is clear. It has a latch on the inside, there is no need to use the key from the inside. He installed the lock himself, there were no difficulties, the insertion procedure at the door is completely standard. The only difficulty was making several duplicate keys. This requires special equipment and most workshops do not have it. I had to order from the company where I bought the castle.

Perhaps it would be better to take such a lock without a rotary mechanism.

A reliable and inexpensive lock was needed after installing a new front door. Since I did not want to tinker with the insert, I purchased the KALE 157 AZMT invoice model. Despite the rather low cost, the seller assured that the product is quite reliable. Installation took about 30 minutes, no technical difficulties arose. Of the main amenities, it is worth noting that the lock tongue can be opened by turning the key, and not just the door handle.

When it became necessary to duplicate the key, at first I could not find the workshop. For such keys, special equipment is needed, which not everyone has. But when I found it, I didn’t even need to leave the key, they did it by the number stamped on the keys. By the way, in the kit on the keychain was a plastic card with this number, which I threw away, it is better to save it.

At work, we did a major overhaul two years ago. Changed everything, including doors to offices. The cost was not small, since all materials and accessories were branded, but the cost of the locks themselves was an order of magnitude lower. As an accountant, I was interested in this fact, but the contractors explained that the KALE locks are very high quality, although they have a relatively low cost.
Experts advised to take locks for office doors without a latch, model KALE 257 RL. Installation of the mechanism itself took 10 minutes. There were 5 keys in the kit, so that everyone who works in the office received them. Beautiful decorative pads were put on the keyhole, which completely fit into the new style of the room. The movement is very soft, doesn’t stick anywhere and does not require effort, which is very important for our female team. There are no complaints about work yet.

I myself am installing doors and accessories for them. So I know about the quality of the KALE brand from my own experience. When it came time to change our own interior doors, the question of choosing a manufacturer of locks and accessories did not arise. For myself, I picked up a good model KALE 153 P from the new ones, but which I have repeatedly encountered. A feature of just such a model is its dimensions - a thickness of only 3.5 cm - it is very convenient to embed. Locks do not require additional or special care. They work in a wide range of tolerances, which is very important if the door is made of wood. Such doors are slightly deformed due to seasonal differences in humidity. And the lock functions smoothly even with a slightly skewed door and does not require additional refinement. The only thing is to periodically, every six months, lubricate the mechanism near the door handle so that it does not creak.

About 5 years ago, I bought KALE 189 4 MF in the construction market, it was attracted by the low price and the fact that the manufacturer is still not China. At first, the quality of the castle was skeptical. Turkish goods are better than Chinese, but they do not shine with reliability either. However, time passed, and the castle worked flawlessly. True, the model is quite simple, without additional degrees of protection, like many modern products. But a simple mechanism breaks less frequently, has a clear course and does not jam. Recently, when opening, you have to make a stronger pressure on the handle. But this problem relates more to errors in the installation of the door leaf than to the lock itself.

Although the castle serves well, it is morally outdated and too simple. For the front door, for security reasons, it is better to have a mechanism with additional degrees of protection. Most likely I will choose another, more modern model of the same brand.

7 years ago, I personally installed the KALE 257 lock in the front door. The other day, the lock broke without any warning - the key does not fit into the shaft literally 20 minutes after the door was opened. It’s good that inside there was someone to open the doors to, otherwise I would have fallen for $ 50 (we have so much an emergency opening). I replaced the core myself, simply and without strain, the cost of a new one with a set of keys is only 15 dollars. As explained to me, the external dimensions of the cores are unified so that they fit most mechanisms. However, when buying, the seller noted that the new core of the company is now not so high quality and will last a maximum of 2-3 years. In addition, if the mechanism breaks, then immediately. If so, then you have to think about changing the manufacturer.
