I have long dreamed of elevating my corridor. The linoleum was already old there, and I strove for natural materials in the house. For a long time I wanted a natural board (massif) there, but everyone did not find money for this (the amount is needed not small) and hands. I began to lean toward buying laminate flooring. Recently, a friend convinced completely - he offered to help with laying the flooring if I bought a laminate (he already worked with it and laid it without problems, and laying an array is a little more difficult, it can screw up). We chose the Haro Cream Whitened Oak brand in the store (32nd grade). He really looks like natural wood - noble, beautiful.
I was glad that the joints of the boards do not need to be impregnated with anything. Indoors 13 square meters. m (6 sq. m in one “compartment” of the corridor and 7 in another) laying took only 3 hours - my friend did everything, alone. As he later said, thanks to high-quality locks, it was very easy and convenient to work, without gaps. The floor was pre-leveled and the substrate was laid, but still there were gaps of 2-3 mm, they were afraid that the boards would diverge. The store assured that everything will be fine. Fooled - small gaps still formed (about 1 mm, or even less). But while the laminate is lying well and pleasing to the eye. Not much worse than an array looks, but cheaper - at times!
pros
easy and simple to stack, high-quality locks, aesthetic appearance, price (compared to an array of solid wood)
Minuses
I’m not sure that she will lie for a long time; need a perfectly flat floor
