A lot of scary information on the Internet about coating bathtubs with liquid acrylic. But, despite all this, I decided, and I called a specialist to restore my old bathtub with acrylic. I do not regret it, though a little less than 1 year has passed since the coverage. But, at the moment, everything suits me. The bathtub has become much more beautiful, I don’t even want to remember about its old appearance. It did not crack, did not deteriorate and did not turn yellow, in my opinion, rather, you need to choose the right organization. Plus, now it has become more pleasant to be in such a bath, the heat is kept excellent, it cools slowly.

Liquid acrylic is tightly connected to the bathtub, so I'm not at all afraid that it will move away from the bathtub (which cannot be said from the same acrylic liners). Liquid acrylic coating is not afraid of drops, scratches, moisture and light, I advise!

Short life

The bathtub is old at home, she looked not the best. There was no money for a good new one, my husband read on the Internet that you can cover the bathtubs with liquid acrylic, we decided to use this service. The specialist did to us, did not work long and accurately. The bathtub died for a very long time, and the smell in the apartment was unbearable, so I had to go to my relatives for several days.

Outwardly, the bath naturally changed, it became like new, but with this there was one drawback, the surface became terribly slippery. I cleaned the bath only with gentle gels; I did not use any abrasive powders. But, despite all this, a year later small cracks began to appear.

Covering the bathtub with liquid acrylic is a way to transform it, but unfortunately it is not durable. So, if there is money, it is better to change the bath to a new one. I will not advise you!

This coating is not enough for long

I am very sorry that I decided to save and upgrade my bath by coating it with liquid acrylic. It would be simpler and cheaper to buy a new cast-iron bathtub.

The bathtub is now in terrible shape, it looked better before applying liquid acrylic.A lot of hairs remained from the brush, a lot of bumps. When I first saw this, the master (if you can call it that at all) said that everything would disappear after the bath had completely dried. But a miracle did not happen, they called the company, the master arrived and remade us everything.

But this adventure did not end there. After some time, acrylic seemed to swell and crack. And then she began to peel off at all with pieces. In general, I was left with a disfigured bathroom, money and time spent. I do not advise you, maybe, of course, I was not lucky with the company, but better not take the risk! It’s easier and faster to buy a new bath.
