Manufacturers of insulation are constantly developing towards the production of environmentally friendly heat-insulating materials. Ecoteplin linen boards were no exception. Their environmental friendliness is due to the use of natural natural material - flax fiber. The binding component is starch, and borax (boron salt) is used to increase fire - bioprotection. The insulation does not cause allergies, it is not toxic at all. It protects against noise and is an excellent sound insulator.

Flax insulation Ecoteplin

Ecoteplin does not sag, is not affected by molds, does not retain moisture, the walls "breathe", which allows the best conditions to remain in the room. It is characterized by high fire resistance. It does not require the use of special protective equipment. It weakly conducts heat (cold), thanks to this, Ecoteplin is used to protect buildings from any temperature: from extreme heat and from severe frosts.

During the installation of linen boards, their firm fit between themselves and to the insulated surface is ensured. This allows you to keep the cool guy indoors in the most intense heat and save heat with the onset of cold weather. Installing insulation boards is simple, which allows you to do this without any outside help and save money. Plates must be laid on the inside. Therefore, their installation can be done when necessary, regardless of weather conditions and time of year.

Private developers using Ecoteplin linen insulation in the construction give reviews about it rather contradictory. However, all agree on one thing - with proper installation and observance of operating conditions, its term - 60 years - it will last.

Last year they built an extension to the house and everyone thought about the insulation material. Friends advised to buy linen insulation Ecoteplin, only of course they warned in advance that such material is quite expensive. My wife and I decided for a long time about this issue.

In the end, they came to the conclusion that for themselves they loved nothing. Moreover, Ecoteplin is very environmentally friendly and safe, and it was in the annex that we wanted to make a room for our child. No matter how much we regret our choice. Very good insulation in all its characteristics is fireproof and retains heat perfectly. They didn’t even pile up a few batteries in the extension, they installed only one. Even in severe frosts, and they reach 45 in our Siberia, it’s warm and comfortable. Therefore, we recommend such insulation to all our friends.

Saving and environmental friendliness of flax material.

I want to share my experience with Ecoteplin in my apartment. Despite the rather high cost of this insulation, I was able to very well save on the use of this particular material.

Three years ago, there was a need to warm one, the coldest room. Previously, an additional wall heater saved, but with an increase in electricity tariffs, it was necessary to abandon its use. My apartment is on the 8th floor and for the insulation of the wall it was necessary to hire industrial climbers. Their work is very expensive and the cost of materials here was very miserable in comparison.

I myself know quite well the construction business and decided to insulate the wall from the inside. But here an environmental problem arose.Neither expanded polystyrene, nor even mineral wool was suitable for housing. I searched until I found material that suited me in all respects. These were flax slabs. They breathe, mold does not start in them and the material does not retain moisture.

The room is warm, I didn’t spend a lot of money, and the feeling that the walls are coated with eco-friendly material doubles my joy.

Ecology.

When they built their house, they paid attention to environmentally friendly materials. (We have two young children and an mother-in-law is an allergic person). In the program "Fazenda" they saw how they heated the cottage with Ecoteplin. Interested in, began to look for reviews. In fact, there are not many reviews, because the material has not been produced for a very long time, and quite expensive - not everyone can afford it. Therefore, we decided to trust the producer and television: advertising - advertising, but to sell frank crap - it’s more expensive. I liked Ecoteplin's characteristics: 100% linen, vapor barrier is not needed, fireproof, not prone to mold and pests. Well suited for living quarters.

In 2011, the house was insulated. To warm the floor we took Ecoteplin, (sheets with a thickness of 50 mm). Under the floor we have a small space, about 1 m high, there are pipes. Insulation was placed between the beams for waterproofing. Above is a draft floor (edged board 40 mm) and then the final floor is moisture-proof OSB - a plate. The floor is warm and unheated in winter. (There is something to compare with: the corridor is not insulated).

For the ceiling, insulation was used with a thickness of 150 mm, for walls - 50 mm. Between the 1st and 2nd floor, Ecoteplin 50 mm was placed for sound insulation. On the 2nd floor, the children ran barefoot all winter, their noise on the ground floor is not heard, I can say that the sound insulation is excellent. We winter in the house for the third winter, we are satisfied with the insulation: the house is warm. Money spent on expensive insulation returned savings on heating.
pros
Ecologicaly clean; good thermal insulation, good sound insulation
Minuses
Fairly expensive stuff
