By autumn, they decided to warm the attic. There was not much work there. We used isover mini quartz cotton wool for 2 pcs in a pack (usually 10), it seems like their series is a warm house. Well, there was no need to purchase standardly large packs or mess with mats, like with a stone min.vata. These came just right. Other manufacturers, by the way, have not seen such small and convenient ones. About quartz wool: easy to install! It sits perfectly in the frame completely off guard, bridges of cold are excluded. No clumping, no crawling. I was glad that in this particular case it did not even have to be cut. From the waste there were only wrappers. The attic is now warm, all is well.

Closer to autumn, there was a need to properly insulate the loggia (6 m) in the new apartment.Wishlist for insulation were standard: inexpensive, but not at the expense of quality and health. The warm walls of the strongs 50 mm thick settled on the isover. They chose it because they had already heard good things about Izover, and here is the new one.

Impressions are positive. Inexpensive, all certificates are in place, environmentally friendly, made on the basis of quartz, does not burn, does not absorb moisture (we accidentally passed a test drive with a cat)). It is conveniently sold in mats with a height of 1 m under a standard pitch of a frame of 600 mm. The quartz insulation does not break during operation, does not crumble, sits firmly in the frame, does not slip. It was easy to mount, the loggia was insulated by himself.

Minus: some insignificant. When unpacking, a slight building aroma was felt, but after half an hour it evaporated and never returned. Pros: everything else. I read, they say they complain about itching during work, but it is the memories of Soviet glass wool that itch. I recommend to say goodbye to nostalgia, still wear work gloves, as requested by the manufacturer, and use modern materials such as quartz wool.

If your health is dear to you, then you should not use this material (isover!) As a heater. Since it emits pollen from glass, which settles in the lungs, it releases formaldehyde resins.
Money down the drain, short-lived, enough for 5-10 years. Not suitable as a heater, both internal and external - it absorbs moisture, independently, both qualitatively and technologically, they completed construction and installation works.

Although it contains glass, rodents and insects do not care for glass! Live and breed. Mice, rats, earwigs, silverfish, wood lice and their other associates. If this evil you like and want to breed them at home - then your isover!

And do not listen to you builders who suggest using Isover as a heater! Health, nerves are more important. It’s better to overpay a little and choose high-quality, environmentally friendly, building material.

Isover's quality has gotten worse. I took a stove for warming the attic in the country. From the old owner there was a stove, which was under the brand LINEROCK and compared in the work. The density of ISOVER is poor. When you pick it up, there are holes from the fingers, it breaks, crumbles. The fiber is very short. Itched for 2 days even when using PPE. The only advantage is the price. If this plate is under the brand name of a world brand, then it’s just a shame. Under the Russian brand LINEROCK, the plate was much better. To stay on the mineral wool market, you need to change something in production, and not save on raw materials at the expense of quality.

I decided to insulate the balcony and, on the advice of a hardware store, bought Izover insulation.During installation, the material had to be cut, I used the roll option, the insulation is easy to cut and fit. There is such a moment as some shedding of small fibers, so it is better to protect your hands with gloves, otherwise they can itch. The rest is satisfied with the insulation, high-quality and relatively inexpensive, it keeps heat perfectly.

7 years ago, Isover insulated the walls in the room and the loggia. As a result, these rooms were combined, and part of the insulating surface had to be redone. Under the removed gypsum board, the insulation remained all in the same form, neither crumpled, nor slid down, that is, its original state was practically preserved, and I did not observe heat loss. I am naturally pleased with the result, but I think it will be such only if you do not violate the installation rules, I was very confused with this at the time.

Isover is familiar with the insulation years 13-14, then still min.wools are not so often used. To warm the attic of his country house, he did everything according to the instructions, lined the rolls tightly, sealed the seams with a mounting tape to minimize heat loss. With Isover mineral wool, I came across a code I needed to insulate the roof of a residential building. The insulation was chosen with a thickness of 14 cm. Each roll of material has the following dimensions: length 4.44 m., Width 1.20 m, area 5.28 m2. The material is safe, it is not combustible and does not smolder, so use it with the goal of warming living quarters correctly.

You need to work with mineral wool, be sure to observe the simple rules for its operation:

- always work with her only in work clothes, protect eyes, hands and respiratory organs;

- after cleaning, collect all garbage with a vacuum cleaner;

In general, the house was almost completely insulated with Rockwool wool, the material was more than liked, in the process of working with this insulation you can not use special protective equipment. But this insulation was not enough for internal work, the spouse offered to save the family budget and purchase cheaper material. They took Isover, it cost us about 20 rubles less for each sheet.

Isover didn’t like working with Isover insulation; working with it without special protection is simply impossible, you’ll be scratching it all. In addition, this heater stinks terribly.

If there is an opportunity, it is better to buy Rockwool stone wool, the quality is several times better than that of Isover insulation, working with Rockwool is more pleasant and convenient.
