One of the most modern locks that are used for tapping into interior doors is magnetic locks. The principle of their action is a unique magnetic mechanism. The convenience of this product lies in the fact that the metal part - the tongue of the lock - is attracted to the magnet installed in the door jamb. If you are interested in this mechanism, on our website you will find reviews about magnetic locks for interior doors.

Magnetic locks for interior doors

Resident locks on interior doors are quite decent products for their money
A comment
The little things dear to my heart became the apotheosis of a high-tech apartment renovation: illuminated switches, lights built into the floor at every step and magnetic latches on every door. I bought Resident company latches. Having read the opuses on the Internet about magnetic locks, I expected some problems with noise, but the locks behaved surprisingly quietly.

Maybe the fact is that for a movable fixing tongue, polyamide 6.6 reinforced with fiberglass is used as a material. Such a mechanism makes a very quiet sound. Doors are locked and securely locked from a normal push. And since they are perfectly adjusted, 6 the most insignificant effort is enough. Of course, the master suffered a bit with the insert and adjustment, but it seems to me that this is from a lack of experience, and not from the harmfulness of the mechanism.
pros
good work, smooth ride, design
Minuses
Pretty expensive, hard to install (set to trigger)

Bussare Magnetic Locks - A Little Not What the Advertising Promised
A comment
He led on an advertisement, which the main feature of the magnetic lock promised its complete noiselessness. Impudent lie! I bought and installed Bussare magnetic latches on the door to the bathroom and toilet. It seems that the European manufacturer and the kit are excellent, and the latch is triggered with a fairly loud click. At the same time, the door cannot be held by the handle like mechanical locks, a sharp response occurs immediately.

Another point, the door in the opening cannot be fixed rigidly. There is always a slight backlash. This is especially noticeable when the kitchen window is open. A draft is jerking the door and it shuts rather loudly when closed. Well, the price, of course, for one magnetic one you can buy two simple mechanical of similar quality.
pros
innovative technology.
Minuses
expensive, unreliable fixation, noisy.
Term of use
half a year

Bonati magnetic locks - the standard of quality
A comment
Apparently, the Bonati company is one of the first who began the production of magnetic latches for interior doors. I have had such locks for about a year now. Their cost is certainly not budgetary, but so with any product that only comes out on top in demand. At first, when I just bought Bonati magnetic latches, I was terribly disappointed. The mechanism did not create the impression of being reliable. Some kind of flimsy plastic latch, in addition, having a noticeable backlash that has not yet been installed. However, the installation of such a lock did not present absolutely any problems: I installed the groove cut out, measured the answer, cut out the groove and mounted it. However, there are several nuances, first of all, you need to accurately position the latch and the overhead bolt, the door leaf is offset by 2-3 mm and the lock will not work.
pros
Noiselessness, reliability.
Minuses
High price, meticulous installation.

more than one year

Palladium - great result
A comment
Recently bought and installed Palladium magnetic latches. Although the price was significantly higher than for Chinese samples of magnetic locks, I do not regret the money spent. For a long time I have not seen so sensibly and with concern for the consumers of the products made. On each part on the front side is the manufacturer's logo. It is evident that they do not have to blush for their products. The kit has everything for a quick and successful installation. The metal case is covered with a protective plastic case, which provides additional protection against corrosion.

The only "drawback" is the unusualness when opening the door. The handle is not that tight, but you miss the moment when the mechanism is disconnected and you can open the door. Doors close very easily, you just need to push them into the opening.
pros
+ reliability, quality, equipment
Minuses
- cost, tight handle

more than one year

Palladium "Sarento 090M" - works silently
A comment
The Palladium "Sarento 090M" magnetic interlock latch works absolutely silently. In order to close the door does not need to make extra effort. Just push the door. When the latch and the latch on the jamb are aligned, under the influence of a magnetic field, a tongue pops out of the latch and is fixed in the lath, keeping the door closed. I decided to purchase a lock from a European manufacturer, remembering that the avaricious pays twice. Therefore, I chose Palladium. The product was not disappointed and the equipment and box and packaging of parts give the impression of quality and quality.

Everything is packed in a film, the mechanism itself in a metal case covered with plastic. There is the required number of fasteners and a product passport in which all the main overall and mounting dimensions and equipment are indicated. The work of the castle is completely satisfied.
pros
Noiselessness, ease of installation, quality and quality factor.
Minuses
Not yet discovered.
