On the other hand, regular cleaning is required, especially of a hard-to-reach place between the second and third heat exchangers, where a special cover is installed. (She, by the way, doesn’t fit tightly, makes it possible to suck in air, which worsens combustion. I had to seal this cap to death with heat-resistant sealant, and clean it with an old vacuum cleaner, which is no longer a pity!) That is, good once every three to four days it is necessary to stop and clean the boiler, and not work continuously. At the same time, the boiler returns to normal mode only on the second day, when the boiler is fully warmed up and the heat removal from the batteries and underfloor heating is reduced. That is, a couple of days you heat everything, the day works fine, fuel consumption drops ... and then you need to stop it, let it cool and clean!

Just incredible survivability! Boiled away three times without consequences. Once boiled over with a complete power outage and the termination of the circulation of the coolant. At the same time, he went on self-acceleration. From a high temperature, a thermometer with a manometer and a draft regulator fell out ... The blow-out skewed and the boiler began to suck in air intensively ... Upon arrival of the firefighters, the whole boiler was red and it was impossible to approach it closer than a meter ... Let it cool, checked for leaks , repacked threaded connections, straightened skewed parts, changed thermal insulation - it works! Not as glorious as we would like, but pretty well!

I want to share my thoughts on the operation of the Prometheus-24 boiler. I am located in western Siberia, a 2-storey house, an area of ​​175 sq.m. The boiler is located in the basement, installed 2 years. The height of the pipe is 9.5 m, it is higher than the ridge. Grids move horizontally. For all the time I came to the conclusion that the boiler is not perfect, it has a bunch of flaws.

The boiler is huge, the kindling flap is terribly uncomfortable, it starts to distort all during movement. But this was fixed, they asked the welder to weld small plates and the problem was solved.

The only thing I still can’t figure out is how to properly clean it of tar.Previously, it was burned out with a blowtorch and while hot tar scraped it off, but nothing really works out here, the cleaning process is difficult.

It’s not difficult to control the boiler, I easily figured it out, although the instructions are not written in a completely understandable language. Another integral advantage of the Prometey 45 boiler is its efficiency, compared with the previous benefit is 2 times.

Installed in October last year, a solid-fired boiler from the manufacturer Prometheus-24, his grates are of a flat type. At first, he drowned not at full capacity, since heating radiators were not always installed in the house. But even under such conditions, the heating was good. At first there were problems with the smell in the boiler room, I turned to the service center, where they told me that it was necessary to clean the boiler at least once a week. Now I clean the boiler every weekend and the problem has exhausted itself, there is no smell.

From troubles, I noticed that with each re-heating, the boiler begins to boil. In general, I am satisfied with the quality of the boiler, I advise.

We chose a boiler for a summer residence in 2 floors (the first of slag concrete, the second of timber, about 160 square meters in total). We thought for a long time, calculated all the options, because already had a negative experience. We stopped at a solid fuel Prometheus at 20kW.
So far, we are satisfied with the choice. I forgot what sifting coal is (for the old boiler it was necessary to do this, now I just scoop it up with a shovel and it burns out fine). It was not necessary to clean yet (only the ash box was cleaned). Fuel consumption pleased. Coal burns for 10, or even 12 hours. So I lay a 15 liter bucket every 10-12 hours (in severe frosts - once every 8-10 hours).

There is no need to sift through coal, adequate price, relatively low fuel consumption.

The seller in the store assured that one of the five such boilers begins to flow almost immediately. We doubted then, but still decided to take a chance. Hope this goes without it.

Long chose a boiler for the cottage. Since there is a problem with connecting gas, a solid-fuel bunker unit (long burning) was needed. Moreover, we are not at home for a long time, so we paid special attention to security. At the price and equipping security automation, PROMETEMS 12M5 was the most suitable. It is initially equipped with an explosive valve and a valve to relieve excess pressure in the network, and has a reliable combustion regulator. Also attracted by automatic traction control. From the experience of use I can say that I was not mistaken in the choice. The boiler is quite economical (especially compared to the simple unit that we had before).

One download is enough for more than half a day. Regulators also work perfectly, the temperature in the house is constant, without sudden changes.I used to think that only electric or gas boilers are capable of this. True, I did not really like the look, but for the boiler this is not important.
