The reason is that polycarbonate 6 mm was mounted on the greenhouse. Seedlings felt good until there were frosts on the soil surface. But they hit -3 and even the placement of a thermal wind turbine in the greenhouse at night did not save. Everything froze. As it turned out later, for early seedlings, polycarbonate of at least 10 mm is needed, and ideally two-layer 12 mm.

I bought a butterfly in a greenhouse 2 years ago. At that time I had no experience at all, both in greenhouses and in the materials from which they are made. As a result, he made many unforgivable mistakes, which I’ll tell you about now.
After a fairly simple assembly, the frame simply anchored onto several stapled bent wires. As a result, even from a small wind the greenhouse with open wings flew away. Nearby, but the sprouts crumpled and one sheet of polycarbonate cracked.
The ends of all profiles must be sealed with either special plugs or silicone sealant.
THE MAIN THING! Properly protect the ends of the polycarbonate. Honeycombs should be directed vertically from top to bottom. The upper end (in the closed state) is closed with a sealed tape, and the bottom with a special tape with micropores so that condensed moisture can leave. It is also necessary to use special screws with silicone gaskets for fastening. If this is not done, then in 2-3 years everything inside will grow moldy and the light transmittance will greatly decrease.

I bought a greenhouse 2x4x4.5 m from a profile of 25x25x1.5 mm. Arc on wings through 65 cm with longitudinal guides. In general, a robust design for polycarbonate, which is not afraid of snow.

The fastening tapes that were supplied in the kit did not fit in width and were smaller in footage, perhaps the sellers simply mixed up, but had to be fastened to the screws, pre-drilling holes;
Not all holes were drilled in the fasteners.According to the instructions marked, but in fact they are not.
There are no seals for hinged wings, and without them, the efficiency of heat storage decreases significantly;
There are no pins for attaching to the ground, I had to lay the beam and screw it to it.

I have been using the greenhouse butterfly for 3 years. I am harvesting beautiful tomato crops. What is the advantage of this design - it takes up very little space, and the usable area inside is used entirely. No need to trample paths; in fact, you can plant 3-4 rows of tomatoes and 5-6 radishes. Very convenient plant care, the approach is open from any angle. It is well ventilated, it also retains heat well inside.

The design has few drawbacks. But the execution of specific products leaves much to be desired. Firstly, a weak anti-corrosion coating. During assembly, the paint on the arcs in the places of bolt fastening lagged. After the first year, it began to rust; I had to clean and repaint it. Secondly, the assembly itself cannot be completed without a file, since almost all holes have burrs, and the bolts simply will not crawl through. The problem is easily solved with a round file, but it infuriates anyway.

This year we bought a butterfly-type Convertible greenhouse. This design was fundamental, since the hotbed is located in a narrow place in the garden where there is an approach from two sides and the most convenient access was needed.

Yesterday, the husband undertook to collect it. Immediately I note the main drawback, the disgusting quality of painting. A layer of paint remains on the tape with which the arcs were rewound. After assembly, I had to buy oil enamel with a brush and go through the entire structure again. The eyelets, on which the wings should supposedly be kept, are very flimsy, during installation, one flew off immediately, and the other bent. Husband replaced with normal, door, drilling additional holes. But they had to be used every day.

The arcs themselves do not coincide in curvature with the frame, where more, where less. The instructions say that both polycarbonate and the film can be used as a coating. But in fact, when covered with a film, there will remain such gaps that there can be no talk of heat conservation.

This season a greenhouse butterfly model Slava 4 was purchased. He started collecting over the weekend. The frame itself was mounted not without difficulty. The instruction is confused, the arcs enter the grooves tight, the holes for the fasteners do not match, but it all gets better with a hammer and a drill. The nightmare began when installing polycarbonate sheets. The arcs of the lids do not coincide in height with the arches of the frame by 15.2 cm. That is, if you trim, as expected, with an overlap on the arcs of the frame, then the "wings" of the greenhouse will not close then. He rules the hammer himself, it is to beat the anticorrosion coating, and to do it carefully, it must be a real blacksmith.In general, both the design itself and the quality of performance leave much to be desired. I feel and serve this product will be appropriate.
