I bought this Santeri West because of the combination of low price and more or less normal appearance for its price category. Disappointments began with unpacking - despite the complete integrity of the factory packaging (I didn’t check the contents in the store, but I had to), the lid of the tank turned out to be cracked in half, despite the fact that it was in a separate bag made of adhesive polyethylene, and I did not find any signs of impact. I took the toilet out of the store myself (and carefully!), I considered it useless to return it to the seller with a complaint.
I glued the cracked lid with superglue, jamming the hair with putty, and it would even have been almost imperceptible if it were not for the absence of a single fragment, which was not in the package, which suggests that the lid was banged at the factory.
After installation, at the first flush, it turned out that water flows to the floor between the tank and the body - a factory gasket made of a material similar to polystyrene (and completely unlike rubber or silicone) does not really seal anything. Moreover, its shape raised doubts that it was generally for this model of toilet bowls — when installed through bolt holes, it did not completely block the drain hole, I had to modify it with a knife and reassemble it all with sealant. In addition, this gasket is so thick that even with well-tightened tank mounting bolts, this same tank still wobbles, well, there remains an unstoppable gap between the tank and the upper plane of the toilet bowl, where dust, water drops, and probably even drops which is worse. Special thanks to the manufacturer for the kilometer-long bolts, it’s so convenient to twist them for five minutes each, bending into three dooms!
The first days of using the toilet revealed another defect, which was the last straw in the decision to throw it all in the trash - when draining the shit does not sink into it! Absolutely! The tank is fully adjusted, but what about the tank - even a bucket of water poured into the toilet bowl is not always able to send waste products to the sewer! With a regular drain, it is sometimes impossible to solve the problem even from the third or fourth full tank! In general, Santeri West is wasted money and time. I would recommend it only for public office toilets, where the water spent does not matter, and for a time-consuming installation there is a full-time building maintenance engineer. This toilet bowl is really a “toilet bowl”, both literally and figuratively.
pros
Price, appearance. All fittings, cover and fasteners included. There is no surge, although it is not indicated anywhere.
Minuses
A disgusting drain with which you can only flush urine. The fittings are all ultra-budgetary, it’s good if they work for about five years. In my case, there are problems with the integrity of the parts, despite the packaging.
