Ceramic block

It has already been three years since I built a house of ceramic blocks (510 mm), in general I am satisfied with the blocks, my wall looks like this: from the inside there is facade plaster with inclusions of polystyrene foam (10-20 mm), then the actual ceramic block (510 mm), then the ventilation a gap of 40 mm and the final stage - facing brick (85mm).

The main thing when building ceramic blocks is their correct laying, because the solution does not fit into the vertical joints between the blocks, respectively, with uneven laying, most of the advantages of these blocks are nullified. My workers did it mediocre, so I had to additionally make warm facade plaster from the inside.

I have gas heating, a boiler of 28 kW, at minus thirty on the street, in the house on the ground floor + 18C, in the attic + 20C, by the way, I also have to heat the bathhouse, so there are some heat losses. In general, the house is comfortable, if I had to choose the material for the walls again, I would choose ceramic blocks again.

I do not advise buying a ceramic block. Pre-stocked materials for the construction of the future home. Choose-choose and choose on your own head. The brought ceramic block turned out to be of poor quality, that is, many units are cracked. It is clear that even an ordinary brick will not be brought all perfectly intact. To be honest, we were preparing for the battle, but we did not think that everything would be so sad.
More than 50% of the blocks brought in were cracked. Although managers assured that the quality of the material is impeccable. Because of the cracks, of course, the groove blocks will not become in the groove, they are led. I think that glue will be inappropriate to use here, and a lot of solution with this quality of material will be needed.

It is not yet possible to issue a return; the manufacturer refuses to change it for a cut. Discount for the battle, too, do not give. We are still in contact with official dealers, they sent a letter to the manufacturer, and we are waiting for an answer.
